Question for the pissed off people: Would you forgive Mori for the ridiculousness of this fight if the Shoryuken knock out happened?
lol come on now, we joke around about the shoryuken but in actuality it would be...really...really stupid lol. I mean it'd probably be cool for a monent (hey he did it!) but then when you think about it you would realize it's just as bad as everything else.
Anyway it's not about forgiveness or being pissed. To those of us that aren't entertained we're just not entertained. Obviously some people are. You can't please everyone all the time, and people don't have to just like everything either. I feel as if HnI has changed considerably from what I had enjoyed in the past, so it feels like a sort of betrayal, or that something went wrong. But in reality, Morikawa can change the direction whenever he wants, and if people like the new direction then it works. So for me I just kinda move away from it, which is kind of where I think a lot of others are.
I know the term ragequit is popular, but I don't see how that's ragequitting at all either. This stuff is entertainment, if it doesn't entertain you, then there's no need to keep at it. You keep working at your job, career, relationships, etc. You don't stick with something like this that doesn't actually build you any skills or long term gains.
I've actually been watching the One Piece anime. I'm on episode 66 I think. Haven't read the manga. I actually did start reading Fairy Tail up to ch. 12 maybe, but then I stopped and started watching One Piece. They must be from the same family because the style and characters have so many parallels. Anyway, Woli reminds me of Luffy in a way, and now I'm going to read the raw I just saw...cya in there.
Yeah the art is very similar, at first I thought maybe it was the same person but I think I checked and it wasn't.
OP has a good following and is older, I think FT is a lot better but maybe it's just personal preference. FT is more geared toward magic and adventure. It has some very good characters as well, and although it mentions the "nakama" thing it doesn't really overdo it imo. OP had some great characters too, but I think the major difference is the female characters. OP's female characters really annoyed me, they all seemed to be PMSing the entire time, especially that thief girl. Whereas in FT, they're really cool, and so far one of the strongest characters in the manga is actually a female character.
I'm going to pick up on OP again though because I heard that it just got a lot better, I wish I could remember where I left off but hey I guess I can look. FT has a lot less chapters because it is much more recent, you can really get through all of FT in 2-3 days, less actually if you have a big block of time. I'd suggest giving FT more of a chance, but if you don't like it that's cool. The FT anime is very faithful to the manga, so you can just watch that.
Either way, HnI, which I once held dear and in high regard, just is not worth worrying about anymore. If it gets better it gets better, but a break from HnI wouldn't be the worst thing in the world...and I mean that for Mori as well. I really think maybe he should take a 2-3 month break at least.

overall I'd say the game has alot of good potential. Hopefully they don't disappoint. I love the look of it, and I really liked the concept and the way the fighting was for the first one, from the demo I played of it anyways. So I'm hoping they really refined everything in this one.

I see. The processor in my opinion is the last thing you'll have to worry about, especially if you overclock your current one to 3Ghz, which from my research shouldn't be an issue as you don't even need to increase the voltage, meaning no extra strain on the power supply.
And as for better low-profile cards, what exactly would you recommend then? Granted I myself wouldn't mind having game settings on their lowest personally, but that's only because it'd hardly make a difference for how I'd see everything in the game anyways =P

^ LOL sorry.
Here are some initial impressions:
Vista - My cheapo laptop for school has it, so the full transition wasn't that bad. It's still quicker than the old system despite all the eye candy, and I've faced no compatibility issues so far.
Web browsing - Pages load faster, as do downloads. HD vids on Youtube are actually watchable, which is nice.
Gaming - This is where I see what you were talking about card wise. The 8400GS, with it's 64-bit interface, DDR2 memory, and cheap-ass design, results in only modest gains here.
SF4 still can't break 40-50fps, unless all the settings are low low low (no backgrounds, no shadows, etc.). And that's at 640 by 480! It's complete bullshit.
There are much better low-profile cards around for the same price now. I'll look into those--then worry about the power supply and processor stuff later.
Apart from the video card BS, though, it runs better than the last comp by a mile. Definitely.
